Guan Kai Sim is a Partner at AH2 Legal.
He was admitted into the Supreme Court of Western Australia as well as the High Court of Australia after having graduated with double degrees in Bachelor of Laws and Commerce prior to attaining a Post-Graduate Certificate of Law from the Australian National University.
With more than a decade of extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the law, he has successfully represented clients in various Courts for a wide range of matters including complex property and financial settlements, parenting disputes, child recovery and relocation issues, spousal and child support, separation in de-facto relationships, divorces, criminal defence matters and domestic violence matters.
Guan Kai’s strengths also stem from his multi-lingual abilities – being fluent in not only English, but also in Malay, Chinese (Mandarin), Cantonese, and other various local South East Asian dialects – in conjunction with his multi-cultural background, gives him the unique ability, insight, and experience to assist clients of various cultural backgrounds.
He actively listens to his clients’ needs and wants – then analyses what can be accomplished within the limitations of the legal system and conveys this clearly to his clients. He takes the time to properly understand the individual aspects of each client’s personal circumstances which allows him to identify the best legal options available in any given case and enables him to provide effective, clear, and tailored legal advice to his clients in order for them to make informed decisions about their legal matters.
Guan Kai is an active member of the Law Society of Western Australia, the Criminal Lawyers’ Association of Western Australia as well as the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia. When not in the office or Courts, he can usually be found in local cafes and restaurants enjoying his favourite meals as well as trying out new culinary delights.
